    has expanded the capabilities for every mom and pop enterprise as the net brings the world to them. E-businesses have in fact enjoyed unprecedented success in certain industries. In respect  to automobile shopping, savvy consumers log on and find out not only how much they can get for their old Jeep or Camaro sitting in the driveway, but what their  local dealer paid for the new Lexus the consumer has his eye on. Edmunds is one site that many people go to to become informed about the auto market. To  examine this business, a case study submitted by a student will be used. First, what sort of insight did Edmunds have in order to fully realize its endeavor on the  World Wide Web? Key success factors for Edmunds includes vision. The entrepreneurs had a vision and a purpose that they could help the consumer. They effectively fulfilled a need  for the consumer and then they took it to the Internet. Many new net companies fail at least on paper. In other words they have a good idea but just  do not know how to make money out of it. When the Internet began, and e-business was just a pie in the sky notion, the joke was that this thing  was so great but no one knew how to make any money out of it. Firms were supplementing their brick and mortar facilities with web sites for customer convenience only.  It took years before money would be made through the Internet. Similarly, Edmunds has vision and purpose, two things that are key success factors for this company and which may  propel them to success eventually. Another thing that Edmunds has that may be considered a key success factor is that it is able to withstand changes. Management is excellent
