    1342 and is believed to have lived well into the next century, passing away around 1412. Not a great deal is known about her on a personal level -- not  even her real name. What is known about Julian is that she left behind a remarkable book of personal inspiration, Revelations of Divine Love. The central event  of her life occurred in early May 1373, when Julian was about 30 years of age (Stumb, 1999). She had suffered an illness that was so severe that, after several  days, a priest was summoned to administer last rights. The next day, May eighth, while still seriously ill, Julian experienced the first of sixteen revelations, which went on throughout the  day. Once Julian had experienced the final revelation, she was healed (Stumb, 1999). She probably composed her first text, which is known as "the Short Text," soon afterward, in  which she records the sixteen revelations; however, her analysis of what she experienced occupied the next fifteen years of her life, finally producing the book known as Revelations of Divine  Love (Stumb, 1999). As with other mystics messages, the theme of Gods love is predominant throughout Julians revelation (Stumb, 1999). However, what is unique about Julians vision is that God  does not temper "love with wrath" (Stumb, 19999). Julian is quoted as having said, that she could see "no sort of anger in God, however long I looked" (Stumb, 1999,  p. 59). This is not the typical medieval depiction of God and not the God that Julian previously knew (Stumb, 1999). According to her account, she asked god for clarification  in her successive revelations and the final message to her resulted in the books most famous phrase, "All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of
