    Daimler-Benz Group was given a new organizational structure. Mercedes-Benz AG was fused with Daimler-Benz AG. The Passenger Cars, Commercial Vehicles, Aerospace (Daimler-Benz Aerospace) and Services Divisions were created, along  with the directly managed businesses. Daimler-Benz Aerospace was subsequently subdivided into six business units: Civil Aircraft including Helicopters, Military Aircraft, Space Systems Infrastructure, Space Systems Satellites, Defense and Civil Systems,  and Aeroengines. The Services Division, represented by debis, encompasses the business units Financial Services/Insurance Brokerage, IT-Services, Telecommunications and Media Services, Trade, and Real Estate Management. The directly managed  businesses were the Rail Systems with Adtranz (ABB Daimler-Benz Transportation GmbH), the business unit Diesel Drives (MTU Friedrichshafen) and Microelectronics (TEMIC). Industry analysts warn that the overall auto  market could turn down this year. These comments came as they announced weaker-than-expected third quarter results and a plunge in underlying nine month pre-tax profits, exclusing exceptional profits, due to  a sharp downturn in the U.S. market. The only market that shows such dramatically decreased sales is North America, which showed a decline of 31 per cent, not least owing  to a surplus of new and second-hand autos (Brown-Humes 2000). THE BMW When the BMW M3 is taken out on the road and test driven rarely does one  come back with negative comments about it. The versatile sports car is considered to be one of the best for the money, although that is not at all to  say that it is an inexpensive sports car. Approximate price ranges for the BMW M3 can run in the $45,000 to $53,000 range but for the money most people  will agree it is well worth the price. The BMW M3 is noted for its safety features.
