This is her first experience as a project manager and the staff she is working with have only  been assigned to her on an as needed basis, this means that they are still required to carry out their normal duties and as such have different priorities due to  the lower levels of commitment to the project. At the half way mark there is a review to take place to ensure the project is on schedule, if it is  not then there is an outside contractor who is already being kept up to date on progress by Pam Hall, ready to step in on a crash basis to complete  the project. The halfway stage has not yet been reached, but the targets are beginning to fall behind in terms of time and budget despite attempts by Pam Hall to  resolve the matter in different way, including a co-operative approach as well as a more authoritarian approach.
