    more dominating presence on the Internet. Regulation of virtual pornography, however, is an intensely controversial issue. It sparks both political and theological debate and raises strong emotions even  among the general public. There are practically as many opinions about the regulation of virtual pornography as there are people. Sociological and psychological research on the subject ranges  from that designed to gauge opinion, to the impact of pornography on various aspects of society including the impact on male/female relations, gender roles, drug use, and violent crimes.  Unfortunately, assessing the negative impacts of pornography on society, and formulating a clear plan for the regulation of virtual pornography in particular, has taken a back seat to determining why  some people are receptive to the topic and others are not. Never-the-less, virtual pornography should clearly be outlawed. Its impact is only negative and to argue that concerns  over freedom of Internet activities should outweigh the many horrendous societal impacts of virtual pornography is ludicrous. Pornography has been defined in a  variety of ways. Lottes, Weinberg, and Weller (1993, PG) define it as: the media  portrayal of explicit sexual activities The preciseness of definition becomes very important when laws are  applied to limit or restrict pornography. Words such as "explicit" become topics of much contention as individuals disagree as to the meaning.  The issues surrounding pornography have been controversial enough that two separate presidential commissions have been formed to explore the implications of pornography to society (Lottes, Weinberg, and Weller,
