When two people, parties or anything else is in conflict, it automatically means theyre out of balance, that theyre not in harmony with one another, and that everything  must be done to try to pull them back in harmony. The common definition of conflict is said to be: "an open  clash between two opposing groups (or individuals)" (Dienet, 2005). This is a pretty good overview of conflict. Conflict is simply a part  of our society - there will always be two individuals/parties and so on who are not in agreement with one another. In some situations, conflict can be positive, as it  can help bring energy and value to a situation (Evans, 1992). But if we can better understand conflict, better understand its meetings  and motivations, we end up being able to get ahead of conflict - of using conflict as a helpful tool to resolve differences, rather than a dangerous, dichotomous force.  In this paper, well examine a case study dealing with a particular conflict, and well study the particulars of the conflict involved, including  the goals of the two parties, who had the power in the situation, and what currencies were applied. Well then analyze  the conflict in terms of phases and styles of the conflict, and discuss the power balance of the conflict. At the end  of the paper, well provide some advice to both parties as to how they would resolve the conflict (providing some communication and conflict theories to help pave the way). In
