The Apple brand (not  to mention its logo) is recognized worldwide among computers (Datamonitor, 2008). The brand value, according to Interbrand rankings, improved from 39 in 2006 to 35 in 2007 (Datamonitor, 2008). Brand  image is extremely important because it differentiates a particular product (or company) from others, and helps it stand out. If positive things are connected with that brand image, consumers are  more likely to buy the product from that company. Strong financial performance. The companys total revenue has been on an  upswing for several years now, thanks primarily to the iPod and its iTunes service (Datamonitor, 2008). Continued strong growth in revenue and cash flow, as well as ratios and returns,  means that investor confidence is strengthened in the company (Datamonitor, 2008). Strengthened investor confidence means more money can be raised for future endeavors.  Media content. As mentioned above, Apple is making its name through its iPod and iTunes products. The companys digital content is helping to drive the success of its  music players business (Datamonitor, 2008). For example, in July 2007, iTunes downloads topped three billion songs (Datamonitor, 2008). Its presence in  the digital arena means trustworthy partners are willing to sign on, meaning more digital content will be available through iTunes. This ensures that the product will never grow stale.  Innovative culture. Apple is not afraid to try new things. The first iPod prototype was from an engineer who couldnt find funding
