CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT: BIOLOGICAL-MATURATION THEORY In a study conducted in 1995  it was shown that aggressiveness in adolescents could be traced to biological factors including but not limited to the high-hormone producing rate during the years of puberty. If the  father of male children was shown to have had an unusually high testosterone level in early onset puberty, it was highly likely that his sons would have the same biological  imprint. This high testosterone producing biology could be a distinct factor in the increase of aggression in these adolescents (Moss, Mezzich, Yao et al, 1995). Also found to be  conducive to a high rate of aggressiveness among adolescents can be cultural and ethnic factors related to the way in which adolescents mature. This is imprinted on them by  their parents and the way the parents matured and learned to deal with, or not deal with, as the case may be, their aggressive tendencies (Moss, Mezzich, Yao et al,  1995). CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT: ENVIRONMENTAL-LEARNING Aggression in children in a 1992 study showed that aggression could be far more likely in those children raised in an environment that included drugs  as well as aggressive behavior. Children are highly impacted by what is modeled to them as children, and if they are raised in an aggressive environment it is prevalent  among those adolescents that they too will develop aggressive tendencies. There are two theories of thought on this however; some theorists say it is the drug use in the  environment that causes aggressiveness in the adolescent.
