    This isnt a book you read and then forget, but one which has an important message to share and a powerful method of relaying that message. It is important  to understand this book from the perspective of how the information can be actually applied, because the purpose of this book is to highlight how preaching can be more effective.  The benefits of effective preaching cannot be overstated, and any avenue toward that end must indeed be carefully considered.  When one is an effective preacher the effects are numerous and this is the very reward every preacher attempts to secure. Therefore, this book is a means to that  end, and is very effective in giving practical advice on how to be a better preacher. Summary of "Preaching to Every Pew"  This is a book about preaching with the insights and advice of various preachers. These opinions and insights are offered to the reader through interviews which really enhance the  message. Furthermore, the message here is most clearly one of affecting a multicultural audience and in doing so, valuable insights and lessons from other disciplines are also included, such  as psychology, sociology, and history. This multi-dimensional approach is truly unique and affords a great deal of depth to this subject.  Its important work that is done here, especially in regards to the multicultural aspects. This is "true" religion when one has the motivation and desire to genuinely appeal to  the oppressed, instead of aiming their message at a economically advantaged, non-diverse population. Not that there is anything wrong with such a population, but clearly their needs are far
