A 9 page paper. The IEP has been the cornerstone for special education services since 1975. The law has been amended a number of times since then. The IDEA 1997 amendments changed the IEP in a number of ways, many of which make it more difficult for schools to comply with all components. This paper is structured as a research study to determine if schools are in compliance with IEP mandates and includes: introduction, hypothesis, review of the literature, methodology, results and discussion.
