It is a time that many of us would gladly return to -- if  only we had the time machine from TVs, Quantum Leap. However, by contrast for those who feel that they have already struggled/ suffered through 12 years of formative schooling,  the thought of having to face an additional 3-4 years in yet another scholastic institution, could seem tantamount to doing prison time in Rikers Island. Nevertheless, continuing ones course  of study and earning a Bachelor of Science degree has innumerable benefits. This essay examines how furthering ones education to achieve this end can be an invaluable asset not  only to ones career goals, but also with respect to ones life in general. The Bachelor of Science degree prepares students to function as useful and responsible citizens  in a variety of roles. It is the line of study that more specifically prepares one for making his way in the world. Ultimately, it is the piece  of paper that can make the difference between living in a cramped apartment in smoggy Los Angeles or residing within earshot of breaking waves in Malibu. In our  21st century world of specializations an Associate Arts degree just doesnt go as far as it used to -- and all sarcasm aside - today, that degree and a quarter  probably couldnt even get you a cup of coffee. But being able to earn more money cant be the only reason to pursue ones education, right? After all,  theres more to life than paper depicting dead presidents. Assuming that one has career/ life goals that include making a societal contribution, being passionate - having a sense of zest
