    difficulties. Flexipart was a supplier to both Vaculon and also Bantam Enterprises. It may be argued that as the company faced failure if not acquired, as they were a major  supplier to Vaculon, Vavulon were undertaking a strategy to secure their own supply chain. Vaculon is not the market leader in its field but has plans to increase efficiency and  as such acquiring a supplier may be a good move as this would give them greater control over the supply chain. Flexipart manufacturer and supply small fibreglass components to  their customers with a customer base that is increasing. Bantam Enterprises was one of these customers and as such they are now likely to see some changes in their own  supply chain. If we look at this there are two potential areas of impact, as an upstream supplier. However, this may also impact their downstream relations, they were a  supplier to Vacuol as is Bantam Enterprises, so this may be possible that some elements of supply chain that came from Flexipart through Bantam Enterprises and then to Vaculon may  not miss out Bantam Enterprises. If we look at what it is they supply we may argue that they are not creating the goods that Bantam Enterprises is supplying  to Vaculon, so it is less likely that this aspect of the supply chain and business will be impacted in the short term. In the long term we see Flexipart  loose 50% of their staff. Vaculon have acquired the company to protect the supply of the parts they use in all three of their major products, and this supply may  also increased efficiencies in the lead time. If the Flexipart has reduced their staff by 50% it may also mean they will not have the capacity or the need
