    the 80s and as a prediction of things to come in the 90s. Many have labeled this as the The Millennium of the Woman, though it may not quite be  true. Through her clear and precise definitions of the problems, the solutions that failed, and with proposals of possible solutions, Barbara Stolz brings to light some of the hidden trials  of the working woman several decades ago. Interestingly enough, many of the same problems still exist today. One of those problems, it can be said is that while the variety  of jobs are greater, the equality in pay is not equal to experience, or education as compared to their male counterparts. Stolz would seem to be stating in the early  section of the book that in the 1980s women were still looked upon as possessing lesser abilities than males in the same job situations. In fact, she seems to be  stating that though the equal rights issues had been tackled and nearly every corporation in the United States touted the EOE letters at the bottom of all their corporate letterheads,  sex discrimination simply changed its title and become more sophisticated in its attack on women and their ability to make a living for their families. For example, one of the  issues Stolz raises is the issue of the working mother. Firstly, if a woman became pregnant she was urged to quit and stay home with her children, without little realization  of what the loss of that income might mean for her family. If the woman refused to quit her job (and, of course, she couldnt be fired for being pregnant),  the administration (comprised of all males) stated that unless the woman had enough sick days to use for her maternity leave, that she may have to take a leave of
