SA146XYZ.rtf  A hypothetical company called XYZ has set up shop in Greensboro, North Carolina in the United States but would like to expand internationally. Global businesses in the present economy  using do rather well. XYZ is a furniture company and would like to manufacture its wares and sell it to different countries largely through the Internet. At the same time,  it would like brick and mortar presence throughout the United States but does not plan to do so internationally. It has been in business for two years and has yet  to turn a profit. XYZ produces a variety of types and styles but focuses on inexpensive modern furniture. Their key competitors are stores like Crate and Barrel, Ikea and J.C.  Penney. These stores are just a few among many that sell furniture in showrooms and on the Internet. XYZ has a furniture showroom in nearby High Point, which is  a well-known furniture center. With great competition, XYZ finds that it has not done well. Yet, by being in proximity of High Point it has resources to manufacture a great  many products rather quickly and inexpensively. Funding is a problem, but its plan is to find investors or take a loan from a bank in order to expand and implement  an ambitious marketing endeavor. By doing so, the company plans to create a successful enterprise by the end of 2002. XYZ has created a formal business plan but has some  details to iron out. A SWOT analysis, along with other analytical tools is recommended in order to better comprehend XYZs position in the marketplace. A SWOT analysis is ideal for
