    patients are simply non-compliant. Here, there is some contradiction. If the medication does not work, then non-compliance is a non-issue. Likely, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. In any  event, the case study examines other things. The other side of the story, according to the Peoples Movement as noted in the case, is that poor people face many  problems which "exacerbate their conditions and influence their access to their medications." Which of these views are accurate? What are the reasons for TB making a comeback and how can  public health professionals fight TB? In using the critical thinking paradigm, it pays to examine the way in which the case portrays the issue. Does the case have a bias  or is it objective? It seems that both sides of the issue are noted, but it is possible that there is a slant. It should be noted that the case  study provides a sense that there is a class divide and that in part, poverty accounts for the problems. The other side merely brushes off the notion of class-warfare and  claims that the problem is largely one of non-compliance. If the people listened to their doctors, then there would not be a problem. Also, the kind of level or evidence  presented by the quote is limited. There are merely charges shown, but no proof or evidence is conveyed that either side is correct. Yet, the problem at hand, which is  that people are dying of TB is agreed by both sides, and so, one may regard that as proof that some type of problem actually does exist. The portrayal  in the case study benefits those who are dying of TB. Either way-whether the true reason is non-compliance or class warfare-a problem exists. The mere suggestion that there is a
