and soft methodologies are used in the process. There are several examples of this. For instance, the caliper method of measuring fat had been utilized and while it proved an  unreliable method under the circumstances, it was certainly one that could be considered a hard methodology whereas soft methodologies were implemented throughout the process such as the implementation of a  prototype. Additionally, many other aspects of this experiment might be considered a soft method. When applying hard technologies, it seems that there is reduced flexibility. This is true in  many disciplines, even in mathematics for example. Dorsey & Coovert (2003) contend that "soft computing methodologies such as fuzzy systems offer a viable alternative to traditional mathematical methods for modeling  decision making" (p. 117). The significance of producing a business specification for the project, even prior to the commencement of the project, is relevant. As with any goal setting strategy,  the experiment had to have clear guidelines and goals so that success could be measured. Also, without a particular strategy, researchers would not know which way to go on a  matter. Perhaps the most important aspect of this is the identification of Critical Success Factors and the three business objectives listed. The first business objective to come from this case  study submitted by a student is provided in four parts. The first is that the film should document progress, and the second is that it should be supplemented with other  materials. The third and fourth parts are that it should ensure a good presentation and finally, it must provide excellent feedback. The supplementation of materials is thought to include celebrity  endorsements. Marconi (1996) says: "The celebritys participation and identification should help achieve the objectives spelled out in the marketing plan" (p.91). This observation provides some support for the assumptions made
