NOTE: These books which provide information on specific states are useful not only for writing papers, but as study guides for  students who live in those particular states. Many school systems teach specific state information and this volume is chock full of details on Delaware. Suggested for ages 9-12. Canfield,  Jack, Hansen, Mark Victor and Kirberger, Kimberly. Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul II. Deerfield Beach, Florida: Health Communications, Inc., 1998. 351 pages. This book, like the other books in  the Chicken Soup Series, provides interesting real life anecdotes. These stories may help teens through tough times and prompt exploration into spiritual and moral questions. NOTE: Because the book  is divided into stories, it is a good book for teenagers who do not like to read works in cover to cover chronologically . Suggested for ages 9-12. Covey,  Sean. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Simon & Schuster, 1998. 266 pages. Sean Covey is the son of famous Stephen Covey who wrote the original book regarding the  seven habits of highly successful people. While the elders book is rather intricate and complex, this book applies the same principles with teen appeal. NOTE: This is an excellent book  for any teenager, but particularly for adolescents who are facing tough challenges due to unfortunate life circumstances. Suggested for ages 13-19. Gellman, Marc. And God Cried Too: A  Kids Book of Healing and Hope. Illustrated by Harry Bliss. Harper Trophy, 2002. 128 pages. Along the lines of the classic Why Bad Things Happen to Good People, this
