For example, the IRS web site is somewhat well designed, but at times it  is difficult to gain the sought after information. In looking at state and federal agencies web sites, the New Jersey Division of Alcohol Beverage Control and NASA will be examined.  First, the New Jersey Division of Alcohol Beverage Control site is rather long and complicated and may be found at http://www.state.nj.us/lps/abc/initiatives.shtml. On the left hand side are easy  to read and use buttons labeled Directors Office, News, Initiatives, Grants, etc. When selecting the "Contact Us" button, one is taken to a page of contact information. At  the top of the page are hypertext links to the needed information contained on the page. The page is actually chock full of data that is useful if one wants  to initiate contact with the commission. Information is provided for those who would like to make contact by email, snail mail, fax or phone. The News button provides information on  what the commission has been doing of late. It seems that the New Jersey Division of Alcohol Beverage Control does not provide very recent information and its latest press  release is dated December 19, 2001. The press release involves a campaign designed to encourage people to participate in designated driving programs. When selecting the press release one desires to  explore, a new window is automatically opened, which is a nice feature. At the same time, some users become confused or annoyed when a new window is launched automatically.
