    this time and the release of Windows 98(r) and other incarnations of Microsofts PC operating systems, no one possibly could be using Windows 95(r) still, right? Wrong, absolutely wrong.  Many home users have seen no reason to upgrade, and many businesses have not been able to justify the expense of upgrading entire offices full of desktop computers.  As networking options continue to increase in number and function, the time of decision is at hand for many of those currently using the  older operating system. There is little difference in the two in terms of what the user visibly sees on the screen. The greatest differences lie in the method  of operation and speed. Windows 95 Assessing this operating system (OS) is an exercise only  in deciding whether to upgrade from it to another, newer version. A leading source of hardware and software reviews, ZDNet.com, offers a selection of Windows products that have been  reviewed; Windows 95 does not appear on the list. The oldest Windows version available for review is Windows 98, the version that replaced Windows 95.  Still, there are many desktop computers running this OS, as mentioned above and as evidenced by its frequent mention in current product reviews for Microsofts latest OS  products. There are two primary points of difference between this Windows version and the NT/2000 incarnations. The difference most obvious to users  is that of speed. Each version of Windows has been faster than the predecessor it is designed to replace, and that trend held with Windows 95. It is
