    variety of factors should be addressed from the nations historical information to each countrys embrace of various religions and cultures. Much to come from both France and the United States  are somewhat similar in that the origin of the peoples is not very different. The U.S. began as English colonies and while the rivalry between France and Britain has persisted  for centuries, there are a lot that the Europeans have in common with one another. It has been a long time since Americans were considered Europeans, and over the past  couple of centuries, America has taken on its own habits and customs. The Protestant settlers have created a niche in the world, and their ancestors have to some extent carried  on that Protestant work ethic to form the richest nation on Earth. France continues to be a nation with its own unique character, one that thrives on dignity, grace and  art as well as excitement. France makes no apologies for its economy, despite the fact that things could be better. Life is slower, more relaxed and richer in ways that  have nothing to do with financial wealth. With the fast paced world of the U.S., particularly in its large cities, each claims some aesthetic qualities in its art and architectural  realms. Paris was home to the multitude of nineteenth century artists who changed fine art forever, and New York is still home to a thriving art industry. Each boasts clothing  designers and while France has Cannes, America has Hollywood. Each in its own snobby way can distinguish itself as a nation that thrives on art and entertainment. Still, there are  subtle differences between the two worlds that are accentuated by its unique history, culture and climate. Every aspect of these countries merges to create a unique entity that has come
