The fact that the management team at Yenta Wartell Construction Company has made the decision to establish a site demonstrates an awareness of the importance  and value of such an endeavor. It is worth noting that less than ten years ago, "futurists" predicted that, before the turn of the century, computing would become completely interwoven  in the social fabric of life. They even suspected that the new structure of computer use and other aspects of technology would eventually move computers out of businesses and  into society at large. Companies would be in direct and constant contact with consumers, and businesses and suppliers failing to embrace the new way of doing things would find themselves  abandoned by more demanding and increasingly impatient customers. Obviously, those futurists were correct in their predictions. In fact, they may have even under-estimated the impact of technology in daily  life. The end result is that organizations such as Yenta Wartell must have an Internet presence. Putting the Information Out What the student working on this project must be  aware of is that the most important part of creating a website and establishing that all -important Internet presence is for the people at Yenta Wartell (or any other organization)  are clear on what they expect the website to bring to the organization. Are they planning on using it for marketing and promotion or do they want it to serve  as more of an in-house management tool? Is it to primarily be used to connect customers and the company or the company and its various vendors? Does the company want  to cut down on the necessarily vast amounts of paperwork associated with construction and find a way in which all members of the building team can be on the proverbial
