A report has been requested to examine the situation and to make recommendations in the way the situation may be dealt with.  The Situation Cosmos Chemical Company have bee placed in a difficult position. The research and development centre which develops the new projects  has a hierarchy that allows for autonomous working to maximise the innovation. However, each research team is over seen by a senior investigator who takes full responsibility for the scientific  and the administrative aspects of each team and project. These positions are only given to researchers that have a high degree of experiences well as qualifications. The recruitment of  such individuals is difficult and for the last few years Cosmos should have had five senior investigators, but have had only three. When a crisis takes place and one of  the three has to retire due to health problems leaving the company without an investigator suitable to oversee an important drug project the company has been working on; Slorophren. The  company needs to improve the drug in the short term ensure they keep a competitive advantage and maintain their reputation as another company has developed a product that is chemically  the same. One solution may be to employ a professor from a local university to oversee the project, but there is a personality clash with other embers of staff and  he will want a new poison created above the senior researcher position, that allows him to oversee two projects but to delegate responsibly and administration. And may result in more  resignations, in the mean time a report is due to the CEO on the progress of the project that has come to a standstill. Analysis of Information Collected.
