or group of children keep taking advantage of the power they have to hurt or reject someone else" (Anonymous, 2002 - is experienced in a number of ways, from name
calling to reject to physical harm. Children on the receiving side of bullying, particularly those who are forced to endure severe episodes over long periods of time, often develop
emotional scars that remain with them their entire lives. Whether a child is bullied for being physically different, having an unusual name or because he appears incapable of defending
himself, the emotional trauma of bullying is not something to ignore. "There are a lot of reasons why children bully. They may see it as a way of
being popular, showing off, or making themselves look tough. Some children bully to get attention, and some just like making other people feel afraid of them. Others might
be jealous of the person they are bullying, or might be being bullied themselves. They may not even realise that what they are doing is wrong and how it
