great deal of discrimination from the majority of citizens in the United States. One of the cultural groups which is meeting a great deal of discrimination are the Mexicans and  Mexican Americans. They are generally seen as poor, undereducated, illegal, and a people who are increasing in population at a rapid rate. All of these realities put them in a  position where the majority is angered to the point where discriminatory behavior is part of the American culture. In the following paper we examine how the Mexicans and Mexican Americans  are discriminated against throughout the entire country. Discrimination Across the Country Discrimination towards the Mexicans is a long lived reality in this country, especially where California and Texas  are concerned. They are ridiculed and degraded for their lack of education, their lack of English speaking skills, and their simple presence. Most Americans do not stop to think that  the Mexicans, and Mexican Americans, are a culture that keeps much of America going. They are the agricultural workers, the migrant workers, who slave to put food on our tables.  Like cultures from days past, such as the Chinese who slaved to build the railroads, Mexicans, and many Mexican Americans do the work that white people and other cultures will  not do. Mexicans work for wages that white people laugh at. They slave away in agricultural fields producing the food we eat and without them the costs of agriculture would  sky rocket and leave us in ruins. Still, the Mexicans and the Mexican Americans are not seen as an integral part of this country, a country which borders Mexico. The  Mexicans and Mexican Americans are seen as individuals who harm our economy by being undereducated, illegal, poor, and very productive in terms of their rise in population. In one examination
