INTRODUCTION The social,  political, economical and religious activities experienced in everyday life represent the very essence of what it means to be a human being. These representations illustrate how and why a  person acts the way he or she does, how one attributes moods, feelings and emotions, the way in which one interacts with another, as well as what governs overall cultural  behavior. It may be true that at the very core of each person exists a common thread of kinship with regard to the inner workings of cultural reality, but  there are grand variances that separate one era from the next - and even one community from the next. While people may share various cultural traits, there are still  both subtle and extreme differences that set one individual apart from another, ultimately establishing cultural differences. However, there exist fundamentally basic cultural characteristics that bring together every era and  ethnicity in relation to how people culturally interact with members of their own civilization, as well as those of other lesser known and understood cultures.  Within the fundamental framework of civilization reside a number of issues that serve to impede inter-cultural and gender communication. Considering the multitude of cultural variance that exists  throughout the world, it is quite easy to understand the inherent difficulties when one society attempts to communicate with another when there is only a minimum of comprehension of the
