Prehistoric Computers has a central office with a staff of ten employees and a warehouse located just ten miles away where  laptops are refurbished and shipped. There are currently 25 employees working in the warehouse. Sales during the previous year were equivalent to $5 million. Prehistoric Computers current overall business goal  is to increase sales by 200 percent with aggressive global marketing strategies. The company currently incorporates no e-business practices. As a new operations manager for Prehistoric Computers, an individual will  have to create a plan to apply technology that will update or improve operations in support of Prehistoric Computers overall business goals and strategies. What this firm should do first  is to devise a plan that focuses on marketing. The idea is to get the name out and because the product is related to computers, advertising online is important. Yet,  the marketing effort will fail if it is not proliferated in such a way as to prompt the items to sell. First, aside from buying banners and providing links to  other sites, the company must set up its own web site. This may mean hiring outside vendors to design the site and programmers may have to work and maintain the  site on an ongoing basis. It will likely mean buying new hardware and dedicating a server to the site. There are in fact many considerations when starting an e-business,  even if there is an existent, established enterprise that is merely undergoing expansion. Once a company feels ready to do online business, developing an e-business strategy begins with accessing technology  and funding assistance ("Implementing," 2003). Determining which electronic marketplace is appropriate for a particular business and connecting with the partners are relevant issues (2003). Financing is also a consideration as
