    entity" Research Compiled for Enterprises Inc By , January 2013 To Use This Report Correctly, Please   One of the most  interesting features of the way that the European Union has developed is the element of cultural diversity which underlies the common social and economic policies which make up the communitys  collective identity and political cohesion. The nations which comprise the European Community not only have widely-varying cultural heritages and traditions, they have, in certain cases, also been significantly antagonistic towards  one another in previous years.  The fact that there is now a considerable degree of harmony and integration at all levels of the EUs structure demonstrates that the community is progressing steadily towards its ultimate  goal. The development of a European cultural aegis under which the cultures of individual nations can flourish is a central tenet of the encouragement of integration within the community, and  this exemplifies the common purpose and historical links which unite the countries of Europe and demonstrates that there are more similarities than differences within the EU.  However, it is true that there are a number  of different socio-political models represented within the community as a whole, and this is something which has resulted from the particular social and historical circumstances which gave rise to the
