    rights, preventing conflicts, etc. It is interesting to note that many of the regional organizations have come about as a result of international organizations. Quite often an  international organization is unable to fully immerse themselves in a regional problem, and therefore the regional organization fills that gap. An example of this is the United Nations.  The United Nations is one of the largest international organizations and they are committed to many goals such as peacekeeping. However, they are also affiliated with numerous regional  organizations who are better able to carry out specific regional efforts to further the goals of the United Nations. It this way, the relationship between international organization and regional  organization is very close and mutually beneficial. Not only do these two types of organizations often work closely together for success in achieving particular goals, but many people also  gain a great deal with this pairing of efforts, talents and resources. The world we live in is definitely becoming more and more global. With the inception of  computers and the Internet, communication between people and countries has become almost instantaneous. This global attitude also concerns the problems we face. Many problems such as drugs, refugees,  disease and many more are in fact world-wide problems with world-wide implications which therefore require world-wide attempts at finding solutions. In this way, regional organizations have taken on a  new, more responsible role in the recent past and this trend is expected to continue. These regional organizations, in cooperation with larger, international organizations, are better able to determine  the needs of a particular community while their links to the larger organizations provide a real means of both receiving the help they need as well as working toward a
