business and the needs of the people working in it have changed greatly over the past several years, bringing indication of what is to come in the future. Increasing
attention is given to sustainability and social responsibility. All these factors and more indicate that the management consultant will be of increasing value to organizations.
Future Outlook for Management Consulting in the UK The European Union (EU) is progressing much in the way it
was envisioned years ago. The euro has been a physical reality for some time, and borderless trading within Europe is coming to be more of a reality. Britain
and Switzerland were the only European countries to opt out of the monetary union, and there is no indication that either will decide to surrender the degree of national sovereignty
required for membership. Both are leading economies in the region and in the world, however, and London continues to be one of the worlds leading financial centers.
