Grudge purchases are those made because the buyer needs them but does not feel an immediate benefit and may not want to buy them.  The more pleasant the service and easier it is to make the purchase the greater the companys potential will be to make that sale.  General Insurance Company sells insurance, as this is often a grudge purchase and the same products can be bought from a wide range of companies, all offering the  same polices from the same companies .This shows the pressures on GIS, who act as an intermediary, to ensure that their internal systems and interact with external stakeholders are managed  efficiently in order to give a professional service. GIS needs to compete in an effective manner but the current systems have  been set up since the inception of the company. GIS has now grown into a larger company, with four offices in different areas, each office with between 2 and 4  advisers. In addition to this there is the clerks department. There are few details given regarding the way the system work, if  we look at the inputs, the transformation process and the outputs we can consider the different components of the system. When the company is set up and before any policies  are sold the company needs to have an agency agreement with the insurance companies. The company needs the agreement for how much they will be paid in terms of  commission or fees as well as the data required to calculate each insurance companys rates. These are the first required input. Next there is the labour required. The advisers are
