This confederation of European nations offers many benefits to  its member states, both economic and political. EU economic policies facilitate international trade between member states. The establishment of a common currency among certain EU members has greatly facilitated  trade between thee states. The benefits that the EU brings to member nations is similar to the trade benefits that states in the US have enjoyed since the countrys inception.  Political benefits include cooperation on justice and home affairs (European Union). US, Italy and Saudi Arabia: World Health Organization The US, Italy and Saudi Arabia, plus numerous other nations, belong to the World Health Organization  (WHO), which has offices all over the world. WHO is responsible for monitoring health situations worldwide, as well as bringing health services to Third World countries. One of the greatest  health accomplishments by the WHO was the worldwide eradication of smallpox.
