has set aside funds for the purpose of bringing a distinguished guest to the campus. The question is, is Lydia Taremes worthy? With information provided by a student, one can
glean a number of things about Taremes. According to much information about this individual, although she is a maverick in her own right, a student should not recommend her
to be hired as a guest speaker. She has had failures as well as successes, but the primary reason has to do with competence and her inability to get along
with, and trust the judgment, of others. Before delving into the individuals past, it is important to determine just what is desirable in a guest lecturer. A student
writing on this subject must discern exactly what is preferable in terms of character traits as well as accomplishments. First, it is important that a guest lecturer be above reproach
in terms of honesty and integrity. Scandals surrounding individuals should be avoided as then, a student cannot really determine whether or not the visitor is being genuine. Another point is
that the visitor must be very successful in their particular niche. They should have all the qualities of a successful entrepreneur, no matter what their role, as it is important
that they provide students with something to grasp. Traits such as the desire and ability to work hard are important as is the individuals level of education. Level of education
is controversial in that it is not necessary that a person have a lot of degrees, or even have any degree. Bill Gates, for example, would be a wonderful guest
