that many XYZ employees have a domestic partner that is also employed - either here at XYZ or at a different organization. It is the intention of XYZ to administer
these policies in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations. This document - although an amendment to the original personnel policies - does not constitute a
contract between XYZ or any of its employees. It is meant as a guideline for personnel policies, rules and procedures. All employees will be treated equally. It
is the position of XYZ that no portion of these amendments to the personnel policy appears to demonstrate favoritism to any specific employee. This addition to the original employee manual
does not change or alter any prior guidelines unless specifically stated in these amendments. AFFIRMATIVE ACTION The policy and intent of XYZ is to give equal employment opportunities for all
persons regardless of color, race, religion, ethnic origin, martial status, political affiliation, affectional orientation or gender identity, disability, sex, age or status regarding public assistance. This stance on affirmative
action will apply to all facets of XYZs employment practices which include but will not be limited to, recruiting practices, hiring practices, placement, promotion, demotion, issues of transfers, training and
