    Summary of the research paper:

This 10 page paper is an instrumentation paper looking at how data will be collected for research into the potential strategies for the low cost airline Ryanair. The paper proposes a descriptive interpretive research methodology for a case study and looks at testing initial findings with quantitative research using surveys of potential passengers. The bibliography cites 7 sources.

strategy elements there has been there has been an increase emphasise on the role of interpretation, deducing the outcome as a result of the inputs and the resulting analysis (Bonoma,  1985). However, it also needs to be remembered that whatever deduction can take place it cannot hold or contain any more information that is in the initial data collection and  as such the way it is analysed and the results deduced will depend on the data collected and the quality of the logical reasoning employed (Bonoma, 1985). The greater the  precision that is gained, especially in case studies, the greater the risks associated with external validity (Bonoma, 1985). Increased precision in a case study may reduce the generalisation of the  application for the results. In the case of studying a single company; Ryanair, to determine a future strategy for market expansion, there needs to be the use of a  case study approach, but the methodology also needs to consider the potential customers that the company services, as unless there is the satisfaction of these stakeholders any strategy will be  bound to fail (Kotler, 2003). In this paper we will look a the different instrumentation and methodologies to be used in a step by step approach.  The primary research will be based on a descriptive qualitative case study of Ryanair, using a case study approach to establish potential strategies and assess available  resources. The use of quantitative research will be used to gather data from the potential customers to assess the potential response or demand for different strategies that could be pursued  in order of advice on the strategy that will maximise the return for the use of resources in the long term. The way that the data is collected and
