"V" and the other fingers the other side. This greeting was, of course, introduced to humans by Mr. Spock (played by Leonard Nimoy), arguably the best-known of all Vulcans despite
the fact that sexy, yet reserved Jolene Blalock as TPol on the newest in the Star Trek collective of television series Enterprise may soon give him a run for the
money as best-known Vulcan. Added to that is the fact that TPol is nearly as sexy as Voyager former-drone Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan). For anybody not a Star
Trek fan or "trekkie," the preceding paragraph may seem like little more than gibberish. To a trekkie it is a perfectly logical statement, although many may disagree and want to
suggest that Tuvok (Tim Russ) has been terribly under-rated and that he engenders the most legitimate aspects of Vulcan logic, philosophy, and beliefs. But once again, the writer of the
report has slipped into another language! How does a "culture" (if that is what it is) such as that of being Trekkies evolve? What is the connection or what is
the appeal. Is it truly a matter of fantasy or some form of a desperate attempt to be part of a unique community? Keep in mind, that the most avid
Trekkies are usually in their 40s or 50s. Perhaps it is an attempt to return to the days of the original series, 1966-1969, and their own youth. How Did Trekkies
