The mission statement, its safe to say, can provide a pretty good launching pad  for a company, on which it can base its strategies and plans. In this paper, were doing an analysis of McDonalds. Thanks  to the Golden Arches (and Ronald McDonald), McDonalds is one of the most recognized brands around the world. Even very young children who are unable to read understand that the  McDonalds logo means tasty food and a lot of fun at PlayPlaces. For adults, the logo also means an easy way for their kids to be entertained (and fed) for  a few hours and at not much cost. Behind all of this is the companys mission statement: "McDonalds vision is to  be the worlds best quick service restaurant experience. Being the best means providing outstanding quality, service, cleanliness, and value, so that we make every customer in every restaurant smile." (McDonalds  Mission Statement, 2009). SWOT ANALYSIS An internal and external environmental analysis through a SWOT discussion can help us determine where McDonalds  is strong and where it could use some improvement. The SWOT analysis provides an internal glimpse (strengths, weaknesses) while examining external factors (opportunities, threats).  Strengths Well-established brand. Its almost impossible to look at the "Golden Arches" and not know what it means.  The McDonalds brand is one of the worlds best-known and most valuable (Datamonitor, 2008). The company also holds a leading share internationally in the quick-service restaurant segment of the eating-out
