    first home computer around a cheap microprocessor bought at a computer show ("The History," 2002). He was not yet competing with Bill Gates. Gates, at the time, was in Harvard,  grudgingly going along the route of becoming a lawyer. Steve Wozniak did not know Gates. Rather, he had a friend by the name of Steve Jobs. When Jobs saw  the prototype, the two joined together to form Apple (2002). The Apple II was introduced in 1977 (2002). That was before the MacIntosh would come about. While the Apple  home computer was seen as revolutionary at the time, the Mac would prove to be even more exciting. The Macintosh 128K was released in 1984, and was the first Macintosh  to be affordable and include a Graphical User Interface ("www.apple," 2002). It had been built around the new Motorola 68000 chip, something that had been significantly faster than previous processors,  but it ran at just 8 MHz (2002). The Mac was sold with a small beige case and a black and white monitor that was built in (2002). It came  with a keyboard and mouse, and also had a floppy drive that took 400k 3.5" disks and this was the first personal computer to do so (2002). Its original sale  price was $2,495 (2002, pPG). It ran on System 1.0 (2002). As time went on new computers were designed. New Macs would emerge such as the Mac Plus, the Mac  II and later on the Quadra. Of course, the technology would quickly be enhanced and eventually a whole line of Macs would emerge. Imac is a recent innovation but even  that is somewhat pass? as the old IMac has been significantly redesigned. Newer and faster products are being introduced all the time. While Mac began with system 1.0, its present
