    be approached. One of these, which is marketing orientates is the framework of the 4Ps, there are product, price, placement and promotion. All of which need to be correct in  order for a product to succeed. The first item within this mix means that we need to consider the target market so that the product fits in with that  market. In Malaysia there is a society that is becoming increasingly technologically aware, and as such any product that is in this sector need to consider this changing environment. For  example, if we consider the camera; videos cameras and more high tech cameras have been around since the 1980s. The market has gained wider acceptance and has approached maturity. As  the market matured a new segments appeared, the semi profession market, the mature that wants to produce photographs for publication in print or on web pages, and a higher degree  of sophistication being needed. For an example of a product that has been launched in the Malaysian market we can look to the new range of Cannon cameras (Anonymous,  2001). This product can be seen as easy to use, but with a higher level of sophistication that other offerings. Therefore the first aspect of the product mix is to  get the right product to fit the market demand (Anonymous, 2001). This is where the company needs to start by looking at what the market wants and then designing a  product that can be seen to appeal to the market place. If the product is not right the other Ps pf price, placement and promotion may be seen as creating  sales, but there will not be constant sales, word will get around of the lack of product specification, and the consumers will often make references to reviews, especially for higher
