If we want to consider what is meant by international communication the  first task is to define what we mean, and how this may be of benefit. Communication is the transmission of a message. This may be to an individual or  to a group, likewise it may be unilateral or bilateral, meaning that communicating does not need to be a two way process. For this to be applied internationally, the communication  should take place over the boarders of countries. If we consider international communication we may include international communication by way of telephone calls, faxes, and even e mail. These may  be between individuals, but may also be to larger groups. In general terms, when international communication is considered, it is usually used to describe the use of the mass  media, where a message is broadcast at a wide range of receivers, in terms that are aimed at attracting their attention and entertaining them, informing them, or even persuading them  with propaganda. Communication has brought many advantages. Increased abilities to communicate have facilitated globalisation and global trade (Thussu, 2000). Communication along with the technology that allows instantaneous communication and  fast transportation has made it possible to communicate to almost any part of the world. In turn this can created wealth for many individuals and companies and has also increased  consumer choice. International communication may also be seen as impacting on the political framework of countries , intruding or supporting the existing political ideals, It is well known that for  those in China that found out about the incident in Tiananmen found out though international communication, even though the incident was in their own country.
