In this day of single parents, working mothers, information overload, diverse interests and much more, there is the every-increasing need to be structured in organizing our lives.  To live haphazardly and without structure not only proves ineffective, but also leaves the individual with less quality of life and satisfaction.  By organizing our time, we are able to thoughtfully consider what are our priorities, and then to include those items into our day. Without such planning,  these items may be easily excluded, leaving the individual unable to participate in those activities which bring a sense of accomplishment and joy.  Therefore, it is very important to structure our time and to manage our schedules in a productive manner. By doing this, we clearly increase the quality of our  lives and allow our time to be devoted to those things which are most important to us. So much of the formula for success lies in simply planning for  it, instead of simply hoping for something. Structure provides the basis by which our dreams can indeed come true. The goal  then is to learn how to best manage our time and how to plan for those things which are important to our lives. The first step then is to  reflect on what is really important. We need to ask ourselves what we really need and want in order to be happy. There is a theory by the  famous psychologist Abraham Maslow which is called hierarchy of needs (Gawal, 2002). And essentially what this theory asserts is that people have different levels of needs, and until the
