It is from this foundation that the firm, which is  today associated with games and games consoles such as the Gameboy and the Wii. When looking at the internal strategies and goals there is little given away in the usual  communications, such as the annual report, indicating a high level of perceived internal sensitivity. The company appears to aspireto hold the number  one position for the creation of interactive gaming entertainment, this aspiration is supported by the claim on the companys corporate website that it is the "acknowledged worldwide leader in the  creation of interactive entertainment" (Nintendo, 2010). This kind can be easily be backed up with the recognition that Nintendo has sold more than one billion games in a global market  as well as having launched the Game Boy series which is the worlds most sold video game system as well as up and coming consoles such as the Wii (Nintendo,  2010). The strategy also appears to be one of constant development, as soon as one hardware development hits the market there is  development stared on the next development. 2. SWOT Analysis 2.1 Strengths A major strength of the organization is the development and the marketing. The technology that is utilized is not  the most advanced, they are not attempting to innovate in the same way as Microsoft with the xBox and Sony with the Playstation 3, where there is cutting edge technology.  Instead, with Nintendo it is the way that the technology is used that demonstrates the innovation with a focus the movement towards the smaller handheld consoles.
