JGAarabs.rtf Racial Profiling: the Arab Americans Research Compiled for Enterprises Inc.  11/2001 to Use This Paper Properly, INTRODUCTION Since the terrorist attack on September 11, the use of  racial profiling has been used for those who are Arab Americans. This is not unlike the profiling of the Japanese Americans during World War II. This paper will  look into the pros and cons of this tactic and consider whether or not this is a desirable action to take. RACIAL PROFILING There are many mixed feelings in  our country today because of the racial profiling of Arab Americans that is inherent not only at airports but at many places around the United States. When interviewed, some  respondents complained that racial profiling of the Arab American is not any better than policemen stopping African Americans while driving their cars - this is called driving while black.  The Arabs are now being subjected to the law of flying while Arab (Stossel 2001). It seems only prudent to start taking a more careful view of Arab Americans since  all of the terrorist acts in the recent months have been committed by Arab Nationals. But to start profiling everyone who simply has a different skin tone or last  name borders on the side of complete racial prejudice. Of course not all Arab Americans are terrorists, any more than all African Americans are burglars. But when comparing  the two actions, people admit that racial profiling should not be used. If we were to consider everyone of Arab descent as a suspicious person, we would have to take
