Arabia and northern Yemen - experienced significant opposition with regard to the issues related to the rise of Islam. A "deep attachment to Islam" (Kramer 171) has been credited
with seeing the pre-Islamic culture through some difficult times. It was believed that because the southern Arabs of the Nabatean period were instrumental in constructing such a magnificent empire
and civilization, they were the only ones capable of restoring Islam to its "pristine grandeur" (Kramer 171). It can be argued that while there did not appear to be
anything non-religious in relation to such a claim, it was still distinctly connected with Islamic apologetics and reformism. Islam would not be what it is today without the influence of
Muhammad. The Arab prophet of true religion was brought into this world by the joining of Abdallah ibn Abd al-Muttalib and Amina, a couple who were from the Hashim
clan. After becoming an orphan not long after he was born, Muhammad was raised by his uncle. Khadija came into his life at age twenty-four and soon became
his wife. It was speculated to be an unusual marriage in that she was considerably older than he, as well as a particularly wealthy woman. They had a
child by the name of Fatima who clearly represented the love Muhammad and Khadija had for each other; he would not marry again while she was still of this earth.
While Muhammad possessed all the divine attributes, he was still considered "completely human," (Rogers 06D), despite the fact that he was given Gods revelation according to Islam. In his
