For one thing, identity fraud is easier these days to initiate, as it doesnt take a hacker very much to go into someones computer  and steel credit card or bank account information while an individual is online. In the past, the ways to deal with security  breaches have included software, firewalls and special user passwords. There have, however, been flaws in these methods as well - and systems that have not been quite so secure as  they should be. As a result, Microsoft, which brought the world the Disk Operating System that made PC use so widespread today, is working on a project called Palladium.
