    your premiums get higher and higher and I am prepared for that. However, I have a wife who is diabetic and takes a multitude of prescription drugs. I myself have  to take one prescription drug routinely and I also have three children with allergies. The cost of their prescription items is staggering. Although I noticed that over the years I  had to pay more and more, and I realize that my employer has had to make choices in terms of prescription plans, it seems that lately, the employer has little  choice. My boss informed me that I would have a choice of either a $30 co-pay or a tier system where I would incur a $50 deductible for each family  member. The tier system had a $50 co-pay at the high end. Because I fill a lot of expensive allergy drugs, I would likely incur a great deal of expense  if I went with the three tier option. However, even with the $30 co-pay alternative, I will likely lay out about $200 to $300 per month just for prescription drugs  on top of my contribution for the premium. In the past, I remember there being a $5 co-pay for generic drugs and $10 for all others. That was not too  long ago. I a writing because I believe that you should lower the co-payment on prescription items. The first reason that your company should lower co-pays for prescription drugs is  because it is the right thing to do. First, local pharmacies are hurting because prescription by mail alternatives that your company offers turn out to be cheaper. This hurts businesses  and severs a good relationship with pharmacists who you rely on to sell your goods. Also, it is the right thing to do because there are people who must choose
