to take one prescription drug routinely and I also have three children with allergies. The cost of their prescription items is staggering. Although I noticed that over the years I
had to pay more and more, and I realize that my employer has had to make choices in terms of prescription plans, it seems that lately, the employer has little
choice. My boss informed me that I would have a choice of either a $30 co-pay or a tier system where I would incur a $50 deductible for each family
member. The tier system had a $50 co-pay at the high end. Because I fill a lot of expensive allergy drugs, I would likely incur a great deal of expense
if I went with the three tier option. However, even with the $30 co-pay alternative, I will likely lay out about $200 to $300 per month just for prescription drugs
on top of my contribution for the premium. In the past, I remember there being a $5 co-pay for generic drugs and $10 for all others. That was not too
long ago. I a writing because I believe that you should lower the co-payment on prescription items. The first reason that your company should lower co-pays for prescription drugs is
