    Slide 1 Maimonides Medical Center operates in a competitive environment. The organization has a history of evolving and changing in order to  best meet the needs of its diverse patient base. This need for change continues. The aim of this presentation is to look a the organization and assess a new strategy  which may be implemented. The case for the proposed change is presented in a logical manner in order to justify and support the proposal. We will start by looking at  the organization including its mission and values, as any strategies recommended will need to be aligned with these core organizational characteristics and goals. The organization in its environment will then  be assessed to ensure that the strategy recommended is suited the current environment. When choosing a strategy it is not only necessary to make sure it is suitable, but also  that it is an optimal choice in order to reduce the opportunity cost, so a number of different strategies will be presented and assessed before the recommendation is made (Nellis  and Parker, 2006). The recommended strategy will then be presented and examined, looking at the advantages and why it is recommended, the challenges and the practical elements such as resource  requirements. The final aspects will also be presented to support the proposal. Slide 2 Founded in 1911 at the New Utrecht Dispensary, the organization has changed  and not offers a broad range of medical services to the community in Brooklyn, New York. The core services include a 705 bed hospital and many outpatient clinics and services,  including five centers of excellence which are the Cardiac Institute, the Jaffe Stroke Centre, the ACE Unit which treats geriatric patients, the cancer center and the pediatric unit including the
