A 10 page paper. This is the second paper in a series that addresses the issue of the National Certificate of Education Achievement and pay remuneration for teachers in New Zealand. The catalyst for this research was a newspaper article. This paper offers a more comprehensive identification of the issues that were both inherent and explicit in the newspaper article. Also, the writer prioritizes the issues and now states the argument that will be defended: teachers need and deserve an increase in salary and a reduction in workload. Additional research is provided in this paper that includes data. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
