at NYITs Manhattan Campus, for example, is positive impacted by the opportunities introduced through activities and student living within fraternal organizations. Currently, NYITs Bahrain campus does not have sororities  and fraternities, but student life could be enhanced significantly from the introduction of greek organizations and the subsequent development of social and academic activities around participation in these organizations.  This proposal addresses both the costs and the positive impacts of the introduction of sororities and fraternities at NYITs Bahrain Campus. Greek Organizations at NYIT The idea of the  introduction of Greek organizations is not a new idea at NYIT. In fact, campuses in the United States, including Old Westbury and Manhattan, New York, already have Greek organizations  in place. Global campuses, including those in Bahrain, Japan and Jordan do not currently have fraternities or sororities, but the focus on creating continuity among the varied campuses has  led to suggestions about improving campus life and the campus community through introducing different student life organizations. The two campuses in New York currently include two of the  largest Greek organizations in the United States, the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority and the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity (NYIT, 2006). These two organizations provide support for social activities, academic  performance and volunteer activities, all of which enrich student life. NYIT (2006) has a long history of recognizing the positive aspects of fraternities and sororities on the  campuses in the United States. The college has identified some important facts about participation in Greek organizations, including the following information retrieved from the North-American Interfraternity Conference: *  Of North Americas 50 largest corporations, 43 are headed by fraternity men or sorority women. * 85 percent of Fortune 500 Executives belong to a fraternity or a sorority. *
