Problem/Issue E-commerce s a growing medium  of distribution. A large number of studies have taken place looking at the best ways of optimising the traditional supply chain though the physical and practical processes. With e-commerce taking  place in a virtual environment many of the more traditional elements of the supply chain are taking place invisibility and at increased speed. Businesses and governments need to be able  to identify and mange the changes in the virtual supply chain in order to engage or facilitate active and efficient supply chain management with the appropriate strategies. This is  an important area of study due to the number and value of transactions that take place through this medium and the relative importance of each transaction size compared with the  B2C market. The level of importance is growing and inefficient supply chain management can lead companies, and even countries with poor e-commerce policies at a competitive disadvantage resulting in a  domino effect on their economy. Knowledge and the ability to create value and certainty within the supply chain may lead to an advantage which sill safeguard companies futures, employees jobs  and can stimulate economic growth. This is such a large area of study the paper will focus on the logistical elements of this subject. 3.
