    the dynamics of mobile commerce; a case study on Reliance Infocomm, Ltd., a company based in India. What we will try to do in this paper is outlining the  current situation in India and with Reliance, and then make some suggestions as to questions the student can use on a questionnaire.  In the original assignment, the sample to which the questionnaire would be directed was not indicated, but we will assume for the sake of argument, that the sample is likely  to be a general random selection of mobile phone users in India. First, it is interesting to note that Reliance is not  a Telecom accompanied by nature -- rather, it has begun life as an oil-refining and petrochemical company (Slater, 2002; see also Slater (b), 2002 and Dasgupta, 2001). The companys goal  is to spend as much as $5 billion to build a Telecom business to include basic, mobile, long-distance and broadband services (Slater, 2002). The company wants to use a technology  called "wireless local loop" to offer inexpensive mobile service within cities (Slater, 2002). However, the competition is not happy because it assumes that Reliance will not have to pay cellular  start-up these to the government (Slater, 2002). The wireless loop technology will rely on CDMA (Slater, 2002), which is a large shift from GSM, which is currently in use.  One question along these lines therefore, could involve whether the technology used by Reliance would encourage current mobile phone users to switch carriers,  based on Reliances reputation and promises toward quality mobile phone service at less expensive rates. But in phrasing this question, the benefits of switching to new technology should be
